Interim safety rules for The Chairman's Bunker, drawn from the safety obligations in the customer indemnity (CB-FUA Proposed 2026-10-13). A full Rule Book will replace this once approved.
Serious injury warning
Golf clubs, struck balls and rebounding balls can cause serious injury or death. Never enter an active hitting area. Only one player may enter the marked hitting area. All other persons must remain behind the safety line. Every player must confirm that the complete swing area is clear before every swing.
01The hitting area
- Only one player may enter the marked hitting area at a time.
- Everyone else stays seated or behind the safety line.
- Swing only from the designated hitting area and only towards the impact screen.
- Never enter an active hitting area or another active bay, and never cross a safety line while a player is preparing or swinging.
02Before every swing
- Check that no person, chair, club or object is within your complete swing path, before every practice swing and every shot.
- Remember that struck and rebounding balls can cause serious injury or death.
03Equipment
- Use only venue-supplied or staff-approved balls and tees.
- Use equipment only as intended.
- Report any equipment damage or fault immediately and stop using the affected equipment.
04Fitness to play
- Do not play while intoxicated, drug-impaired, medically unfit or unable to control a club safely.
- Under-18s may play only with recorded parent or guardian consent and a named supervising adult on site.
05Incidents and staff instructions
- Report any injury, near miss or unsafe condition to staff immediately.
- Follow bay signage, these rules, the booking terms and reasonable staff instructions.
- Staff may stop play or end participation when safety is threatened or the rules are breached.
